Adoptathon/Bakesale
at Wal-Mart 11-15-2008
Our bake sale
and puppy adoption at Wal-Mart tuned out wonderful . We adopted
5 dogs and 2 cats. We were both so happy to have had such a
great day for our babies and feel we really found them great
homes forever homes. Please keep checking back as we will be
having another soon. Here are a view pics of the day.

Ground Breaking ceremony for our friends "Claiborne Animal
Shelter". on [ 10-25-2008 ]
Our Friends
the Claiborne Animals Shelter who we are members of recently
held their ground breaking ceremony at the site of where the
shelter will be built. It was a great day with good weather.
Gloria McPherson Founder of San-Chris is Honorary Member
of The shelter did the ground breaking which was a great honor

Booth at the
Goose Park Labor Day Celebration [ 09-01-2008 ]
We will be at
the Labor Day Celebration at Goose Park in Tazewell, this year
look for us there and help support us. We will have info so
people can learn about us as well and a raffle going on,
T-shirts for sale and rice crispy treats shaped as a dog,
so come out and see us and have some great fun. |

Booth at the
Claiborne County Fair in [ 08-25 through 30-2008 ]
We are happy
to be at the Claiborne County Fair this year at booth 22. Please
come out and see us as we are selling t-shirts, also we have a
raffle with lots of great prizes to be given away the last night
of the fair Saturday at 7:00 PM. Our raffle tickets are $1.00 a
ticket. Proceeds will help with care for the unwanted dogs of
Claiborne. Stay toned for some pictures.

Coming up
Yard Sale/Bake Sale [ 08-02-2008 ]
Please Join
us Saturday August 2cnd at Gose Park near the City
Swimming Pool. We will be out that day selling all kind
of goodies as well as having a few of our puppies up
there for a few hrs depending on the heat. So please
come support us. |

Friends at
Union County Humane Society [ 07-19-2008 ]
Our friends
at Union County Humane Society open their doors to a
brand new facility that is a big change from the small
trailer and the 9 outside kennels they have used for
quite a few yrs . The new facility is 6000 square feet
with the back half of the building having 16
indoor/outdoor kennels( all under Roof) 2 inside kennels
and an adolescent dog kennel. all cooled with many in
ceiling type fans. The front will be air conditioned has
a lobby, Office , puppy room, kitten room, cat holding
Room, dog Holding Room, surgical room, and examination
rooms and a quarantine room, Out side they have a new
parking lot New property fencing, new lawns, a new
fenced in pasture for large live stock. There is also a
puppy play pin and a meet and greet pen for those who
are interested in adopting and spending time with
one of the dogs and cats they house in this brand new
facility. We are very Happy for our friends at Union
County Humane Society and would like to thank Tammy for
all the things she has did for San-Chris and Gloria
McPherson. We hope to continue in a close relationship
with them and would be more than happy to Help Tammy on
any given day should she need San-Chris. Congratulations
Tammy and Staff for such a much needed, well deserved
facility that you have worked so many hard yrs for as
you now have: from all of us at San-Chris. Here are some

Little Man is
officially adopted [ 07-15-2008 ]
Liza Martz of
New Tazewell has adopted Little man today and named him
Coty which I love and suites him to a tee. She will make
a good mother and owner to him. He has come along way
from the baby he came to us as, so very sick and at
deaths door. Here are some before and after
pictures of him.

Its
hard to believe when we look at his pictures that he was
determined to live and now is the most special dog out
of all the dogs we have fostered. I love you Little
Man Coty and you will always hold the most special place
in my heart. Its this kind of work that makes San-Chris
so special and makes us more determined than ever to
help all puppies and dogs of this nature have a chance
to make it and have a happy home.

Our friends at Claiborne Animal Shelter Pancake
Breakfast [ 07-12-2008 ]
Claiborne Animal Shelter held a pancake breakfast at the
New Tazewell Methodist Church and being proud members we
are happy to see them have done very well with this as
this puts us closer to our goal of getting the animal
shelter our county so needs. San-Chris is not only
members but friends of the Claiborne Shelter and
volunteers with many activities that the shelter
schedules as well as donated the web space and maintains
the website for the Claiborne Animal Shelter. We also
with encouragement to Gloria McPherson and approval
reopen San-Chris Adopt A Pet and renamed it San-Chris
Foster and Adoption Organization to help take care of as
many of the abandoned animals of Claiborne County we can
till the shelter is built and will still remain as a
Future Foster and Adoption Organization who will work
along side the Claiborne Animal Shelter. Here are some
picture of the pancake breakfast.
We sold
jewelry and t-shirts as well as raffled off a dog house
that day

we had a bake sale at Wal-Mart and did pretty good
